For the Household Object Project I was tasked to create a household product for a user group other than ourselves. I knew I wanted to focus on developing an accessible product that specifically helps upper-body amputees, meaning people with amputations at or above their elbow. I researched how upper-body amputees experience differ in certain areas of life and decided an area that needed addressing was the kitchen. Based off my research, I developed a modular cutting board with different attachments to adapt to different cooking needs.
